On Nov. 30, 2010, Tufts University announced that Anthony P. Monaco, who currently serves as pro-vice-chancellor for planning and resources at the University of Oxford, will assume office as the thirteenth President of Tufts University next summer.
A pioneering geneticist, Dr. Monaco has a record of exceptional accomplishment as a university leader, biomedical researcher and teacher. He will bring to the presidency of Tufts deeply held commitments to academic excellence, diversity and inclusion, a global perspective and the university's role in society.
